Walking in Christ's footsteps

Michael Hogan carries the cross during a rehearsal for this year's performances at the Catholic church in Coudersport.
"Living Stations of the Cross" will be portrayed for the public March 25 and April 1 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport.

Presented by the St. Eulalia Youth Group, the program is a depiction of final hours of Jesus as He carried the cross to Calvary. It's a prayerful reflection of the suffering of Jesus, made relevant to present-day society.

This is achieved by allowing the students to actually become the players in the presentation, using thought-provoking text, including scripture readings, and dialogue. The action is set against a backdrop of costuming, scenery, contemporary music, and special lighting effects.

This is the second year that the Youth Group, consisting of students in grades seven through 12, has presented the program.

After each performance, audience members are invited to a reception for refreshments in the Parish Center. The performance is approximately one hour long. There will be a free will offering to support Coudersport Area Ministerium Emergency Fund.
