Several sentenced in Potter County court A Coudersport area man, 32- year-old Curtis Proctor, will spend from four to 10 years in prison for aggravated indecent assault and related charges. Proctor was sentenced by Judge John Leete for charges dating back to 2003-04 involving a nine-year-old victim. Sweden Township Police conducted the investigation. In other recent court action, Victor Vallego, 26, of Austin was ordered to spend 24 to 56 months in jail. He was found guilty of burglary and criminal conspiracy in connection to numerous break-ins during 2006 in and around Austin. Several camps and the Austin Game Room were burglarized. Stolen items included firearms, cash, tools, alcohol, and electronics. Two Coudersport residents were sentenced to jail time on theft charges. Todd Caward, 27, was ordered to spend 11 1/2 to 23 l/2 months in jail. He was charged with accepting $1,975 from Sally Hershey to fix her rental property, then failing to perform the work. Edward Mulzet, 40, was ordered to spend 60 to 120 months in jail. In July 2006, Mulzet broke into Erway's Restaurant, where he had formerly been employed, and stole about $2,600 and a handgun. He was also found guilty of violating laws that prohibit convicted felons from having a gun. Christopher Ayers, 36, of Butler was ordered to spend five to ten years in prison for aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors. Charges stemmed from his relations with a 15-year-old girl on three occasions between October 2004 and April 2005. Zachary Duncan, 22, of Whitesville, N.C., was ordered to spend 10 to 23 1/2 months in prison. He was accused of having consensual sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16 in Homer Township. |
