Coudersport Easter Festival set Additional details have been announced for Coudersport's first-ever Easter Festival, scheduled for Saturday, March 31. Activities will be centered at the courthouse square and the Coudersport Consistory. Area businesses are asked to donate items to be given away in the "World's Biggest Easter Basket" drawing. Starting March 26, customers will sign up by placing their names in an Easter basket at each participating business. The winner will be selected between 3:30 and 4:00 that afternoon during a drawing at the gazebo. A craft/vendor show will set up at the Coudersport Consistory from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A limited number of tables are available to vendors at $10 each. The Easter Bunny will be roaming the town from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Children can get their pictures taken with the furry favorite from noon to 1:00 p.m. An egg-coloring contest will be held at 1:00 p.m. Then, at 2:00, an Easter egg hunt will be held at the square. Preschoolers' event will be across Third Street at Park United Mehodist Church lawn. The egg hunt for first- through sixth-graders will take place at the courthouse lawn. Registration starts at 1:45 . There will be food vendors and music provided by deejay Bob "Smitty" Smith at the courthouse square. The Easter Festival, a project of the Coudersport Area Chamber of Commerce and its Merchants Assn., is expected to become an annual event. The Merchants Assn. will be meeting on Tuesday morning, 8:00, at the Hotel Crittenden to complete plans for the festival. |
