'Smitty' in as new Rotary president

Long-time member Bob "Smitty" Smith was chosen as the new president of Coudersport Rotary Club. He'll succeed Paul Herzig, whose term expires in July.

Smith for many years operated Smitty's Record Cellar at several C o u d e r s p o r t locations. He has been active in Coudersport Rotary's citizens of tomorrow program, as well as the club's Halloween activities for children. He also frequently donates his time to community organizations as a deejay. Smith is a collector of

recorded music and memorabilia, a member of the choir at Coudersport's First United Presbyterian Church and an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Green Bay Packers and Coudersport Falcons.

Also elected on the new slate were Mark Benson, vice president; Rev. Dennis Adams, treasurer; and Nate Wagner, secretary.
