Coudy pool study coming

Coudersport Community Swimming Pool has been patched and sealed, lined with rubber, and otherwise maintained to increase its lifespan. Whether it can be used for much longer is an open question.

This week, Coudersport Borough was awarded a $12,500 grant from the Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources to contract for a professional assessment of the pool. An engineer will examine the structural integrity and other aspects of the boroughowned property at the end of Maple Street and report its findings to Borough Council.

Study is funded through the Community Conservation Partnership Program, which supports parks, recreational facilities, greenways and environmentally sensitive areas throughout Pennsylvania.
