Marlene Rupp

Marlene M. Rupp, 57, of Emporium died Friday (March 2, 2007) at Montefiore University Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Oct. 31, 1949 in St. Marys, a daughter of Wesley S. and Thelma Robertson Ostrum.

On Nov. 13, 1999 in Moore Hill Methodist Church, she married Robert Rupp.

Mrs. Rupp graduated from Cameron County High School in 1967. Years ago, she had worked at Sylvania Pressed Metals, Olivett's Market and later Wal-Mart. She enjoyed family and friends and spending time on her farm.

Surviving in addition to Robert Rupp are two brothers, Wesley (Abigail) Ostrum, Duane (Leona) Ostrum all of Emporium; one sister, Donna Darlene of Jackson, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rupp was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Ostrum, in infancy.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Moore Hill Methodist Church, Emporium on Saturday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Eastman, Rev. Dwight Simpson and Rev. Gary Atkinson officiating.

Burial will be in the Rupp Farm, Shippen Township. Memorials may be made to Community Nurses Inc., 757 Johnsonburg Rd., Suite 200, St. Marys PA 15857.
