Nellie Rager

Nellie Ann Rager, 79, of Washington, died Friday (March 2, 2007) in Washington Hospital.

Born May 6, 1927, in Washington, she was a daughter of Robert J. and Helen I. Boyer McBride. On July 9, 1953, she married James P. Rager.

Mrs. Rager was a 1945 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked at Kaufmann's Department Store, and with her husband owned and operated the Buttonwood Motel in Emporium. She had been employed at Bucktail Bank. She later worked parttime at Werts Newsstand, also in Emporium. She was a member of the Laboratory Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, James Michael Rager of Big Lake, Alaska; a brother, Charles McBride in Florida; and two sisters, Irene Barney and Betty Lacock.

Funeral services were held in the Nichol Funeral Home, Washington. Burial was in Washington Cemetery.
