Marjorie Hamilton Marjorie J. Hamilton, 85, of Coudersport, died Monday (March 5, 2007) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. Born on March 1, 1922 in Peoria, Ill., she was the daughter of Shelby and Hester Joy Jones. On Dec. 26, 1942, she married Harry K. "John" Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was a graduate of Coudersport High School. She was employed with the Pa. State Employment Office and with Potter County Children and Youth Services. She had also worked for forester John Villesvik. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and had operated a bakery from her home. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and sang with the church choir. She had also sung with the Consistory Choir for the annual Passion Play. Surviving are her son, William J. Hamilton of Rochester; three daughters, Patricia (Joe) Snyder, Gail Hamilton, and Carol Conn, all of Coudersport; four grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren, a brother, Robert Jones of Panama City; a sister, Esther Esgro of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Larry Hamilton, and a sister, Helen Lyon. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport with Rev. Dennis M. Adams, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Potter Unit, P.O.
