Trapping workshop offered

Anyone interested in learning about the trapping of wild game is encouraged to sign up for a workshop scheduled for Wednesday night, March 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 in Port Allegany.

Bill Ford and Henry Rinamon, two long-time trappers, and Bill Rosenswie, a passionate newcomer to the sport, will be the presenters.

Participants will learn why people trap; safely measures; trap selection and baiting; trap lines and sets; techniques and strategic selection of lures or baits. Fur handling will also be discussed.

The workshop will be held at the Port Allegany Education Center, 8 N. Main St. Cost is $10. To register, call 814-642- 2295 or 814-274-4877.
