Benefit for sixth-graders

Austin Area Class of 2013 is holding a meat bundle raffle to raise money for class activities. Tickets are now on sale for $2.00 each, or three for $5.00. The drawing will be held on March 27.

Bowling trip to Emporium

Austin Communities That Cares is sponsoring its annual Bowling Trip on Sunday, April 15, at Mountain View Bowling Center in Emporium. Cost is $5.00 per person and includes bowling, shoes, popcorn and a drink.

The bus will leave the Austin Area School at 12:15 p.m. and return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Permission slips must be returned to the school office by Friday, March 23. The trip is limited to 48 people and all must ride the bus. For more information, contact Kim Henderson at 647-8790.

Baseball/softball sign-ups

Registration for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 in the school lobby for any new players, or for players who are unable to attend the awards presentation.

Registration will be for TBall, Innercity, Little League, Babe Ruth. Girls' Little League Softball and Girls' Senior Little League Softball. Players and parents or guardians must be present for the registration and review of the rules.

Registration fees are $20 for individuals and $35 for families. This is a one-day-only registration. For more information, contact Julie Logue at 647-3345.

E.O. Austin dinner Thursday

A dinner-auction for the E. O. Austin Home/Historical Society will be held on Thursday, March 15 at American Legion Post 192 in Coudersport.

A limited number of tickets are available at $20 each. They include choice of roast beef or stuffed chicken breast. For tickets, call 647-8650.

Anyone who would like to donate an item to be auctioned may take it to Northwest Savngs Bank or call either 647- 8650 or 647-8448 to arrange for pickup.

Baseball awards Sunday

Austin Baseball Association will hold its annual awards presentation at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the school cafeteria. Players, coaches and immediate family members are encouraged to attend.

There are no tickets to purchase this year. Desserts and beverages will be provided. Registration for the 2007 season will be held at the presentation for all returning players. For more information, contact Julie Logue at 647- 3345.
