 | | Melted snow had already swelled area waterways, so when heavy rains fell early T h u r s d a y morning, many rivers overflowed their banks. The flooding resulted in evacuations, mudslides and road closings. There were no injuries. These photos were taken near the Potter County Fairgrounds in Millport, where m o t o r i s t s found a way to avoid the deep pond that made Rt. 44 impassible. See details on page 7. |
