Birders who are used to seeing more common species of nesting birds make homes out of their bird boxes, have been surprised to find more and more bluebirds taking up residence. Cameron County's 33rd annual Canoe & Kayak Classic is scheduled for Saturday, April 7.

Racers will enter the water about six miles south of Emporium along Route 120 and navigate an 11-mile stretch of scenic waterway on the Driftwood Branch of the Susquehanna River. Finish line is at Driftwood.

Registration will be held at the Emporium Country Club from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
