'Leadership Potter County' training offered Applications are being accepted for "Leadership Potter County 2007." This leadership development program kicks off on April 21 and meets one Friday per month from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It's open to anyone living or working in Potter County. Public officials, business people, staff, members of nonprofit organizations or anyone who wants to make a difference in the community or develop leadership is encouraged to apply. Leadership Potter County requires a significant commitment of time and travel within the county. It will also require out-of-class preparation and, at the end of the program series, occasional support and assistance for future participants. There are three underpinnings of the program: Learning Today/Leading Tomorrow curriculum; Communities of the Future context; and learning the various aspects of the county. Tuition is $750. Financial arrangements can be made. Selections made by the Leadership Potter County Planning Committee. The program is sponsored by Penn State Cooperative Extension and the Potter County Education Council, with the support of businesses and community organizations throughout the county.
