Carl Stone

Carl E. Stone, 71, of Smethport, died Thursday (March 15, 2007) in the Lake View Personal Care Home, Smethport.

Born March 13, 1936, in Genesee, he was the son of Nola and Hazel Dryer Stone.

He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. On Oct. 15, 1965, he married the former Elaine Schrader, who predeceased him on February 19, 1985.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Stone; two brothers, Paul Stone of Sutherlin, Ore., and Robert E. Stone of Clara; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Iona Stone and Jane Farley; and three brothers, Llewelyn Stone, Louis Stone, and Archie Stone.

Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
