Schatz meets wrestling nemesis

Cameron County senior Chad Schatz met up with his nemesis, Eli Morres of Brookville, for a rematch Monday night during the annual PIAA District 9 Wrestling All- Star Tournament, held at the St. Marys Area High School.

They went the distance dur- ing the match's abbreviated format, with Morres winning by the slenderest of margins, 1-0.

Despite slippery roads, turnout was good for the event, which was organized by Terry Dietrick as a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society.

Schatz's former coach at Cameron County, Larry McGraw, was an honorary coach for the North team for which the senior heavyweight competed.

There were 21 matches held, with South defeating North, 44- 30. Almost $2,000 was raised for the ACS.
