 | | The growing "Dark Sky Program" at Cherry Springs State Park was recently recognized for excellence by the Pa. Recreation and Parks Society. Accepting the award were (from left) Operations Manager Chip Harrison and Environmental Education Specialists Liz Helms and Tim Morey. PRPS honored Cherry Springs for "outstanding quality, innovation and efficient use of resources." The park, a stateprotected dark sky reserve, is relatively free of lightpollution, allowing the public to enjoy star-gazing and related activities. |
