      41 The price of a first-class postage stamp increases to 41 cents, effective May 14. Postal patrons can lock in the 41-cent rate by purchasing "forever stamps," which cost 41 cents and will be usable for first-class postage even after future rate increases.

4-H Easter egg hunt
      About 30 children weren't deterred by the cold, wind and rain, as they turned out for the Stride for Stride 4-H Saddle Club Easter Egg Hunt at the Kersey Fairgrounds. After upwards of 400 eggs were collected, the children gathered at the 4-H building for the awarding of prizes.

Lyman Run dam nears completion
      One of the region's premier tourist attractions, the lake at Lyman Run State Park in Potter County, could be open by June. Last week, the state's top environmental official confirmed that the construction of a new dam is all but finished and the restoration of the lake will likely begin soon.
