Viviene Meacham

Viviene Atherton Meacham, 55, died on Tuesday (April 3, 2007) at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.

Mrs. Meacham was born in St. Marys, the daughter of Christopher Atherton and the late Martha Atherton.

She graduated from Cameron County High School in 1969. She was employed at Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo, N.Y., before moving to Los Angeles in 1972. On July 25, 1987, she married Thomas Meacham. She had been employed as a travel manager for 20 years at a large computer company in Southern California before moving to Raleigh, N.C., with her husband in 2006.

She is survived by her husband; her father; a brother, Timothy (Marlene) Atherton of Harrisburg; a sister, Kristen (Robert) Focht of Emporium; a half-sister, Jane Wykoff of Missouri; one niece, six nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Newton Cemetery in Emporium, with a gathering following the service at the Men's Club in Cameron.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.
