Garden Club to host kids

Emporium Garden Club members will collaborate with Family Center for an educational and fun meeting at 6:00 p.m. Monday.

Guest speaker will be Cathy Straub from the Cameron County Cooperative Extension Office, who will bring the DB Pest robot and play interactive games with the children.

Other members will be teaching the children how to start a plant from a cutting. Members are encouraged to attend and help mentor these future gardeners.

After refreshments provided by the Family Center staff, the Garden Club will hold its regular meeting. Kris Fapore will discuss the Fairy Tea to be held in June and Meg Whiting will share the plans GKN has for the community.
