Nora Mumford

Nora M. "Marie" Mumford, 89, of Emporium, died at Guy and Mary Felt Manor, Tuesday (April 17, 2007).

She was born Nov. 20, 1917 in West Creek, a daughter of the late Earl and Veryl Carmen Towner. She married the late Eugene Mumford.

Mrs. Mumford graduated from Emporium High School. She enjoyed painting ceramics and needlepoint.

Surviving are one son, Gene Mumford, Emporium; two daughters, Dianne (Elwood) Flanders, DuBois and Linda (John) McAulay, Emporium; three grandchildren, Marsha (David) Haley, Jacqueline (Steven) Kovacs and Shawn (Nicia) McAulay; three great granddaughters and one brother, Earl Towner, Lakeland, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandson, Steven Mumford; and a sister, Mildred Hathaway.

Funeral service was held at the Barnett Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Smith, officiating.
