Kenneth Rearick

Kenneth Keeler Rearick, 83, of Elderton, died on March 7, 2007, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born May 14, 1923, in Elderton, Armstrong County, to Lee and Vida (Keeler) Rearick.

Mr. Rearick was a lifetime member of Elderton United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion and National Rifle Association. He was an assistant scoutmaster for 15 years. He worked as an engineer by N.L. Industries and previously worked as a machinist with PPG Industries of Ford City.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a lifelong resident of Elderton and enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynn L. (Richard) Redrick, of Worthington, and Pamela J. (Bruce) Bresslin, of Austin; four grandchildren, Tawnya R. (Rick) Hetrick, of Kittanning, Hope D. Mundy, of Natrona Heights, Britta (Bob) Hooftallen, of Austin, and Shane K. (Jennifer) Redrick, of Elderton, with whom he made his home; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Goldyn A. "Mook" (Rupert) Rearick, who died Aug. 5, 2005; one son, Timothy L. Rearick, who died in 1975; one sister, Jeanne C. Rearick; two stepbrothers, Richard and John Zacharias; and one half- sister, Mary Lou Condy.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elderton United Methodist Church or the Boy Scouts of America.
