Giannotti cracks record books

Emily Giannotti

Freshman Emily Giannotti ran her way into the record book at Coudersport Area High School Saturday by posting a time of 11:39.5 in the two-mile run during the Mansfield Track & Field Invitational. She shaved more than four seconds off the previous record.

Coming off a cross country season in which she qualified for the state finals, Giannotti was poised for big things in her scholastic track and field debut and, so far, she hasn't disappointed.

On Saturday, she joined her sister, Allison Giannotti, along with Kristy Kamper and Cassie Stuckey for first place in the 3200-meter relay (10:27).
