Jones completes first season

Ryan Jones, a 2006 graduate of Coudersport Area High School, was a member of the men's basketball team at Catholic University of America during the recently completed season.

The son of Gary and Linda Jones, he appeared in 18 of the team's 29 games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

CUA, located in Washington, D.C., posted a 23-6 record. The Cardinals won the Capital Athletic Conference championship to earn a berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament.

Jones, six-foot-six and 190 lbs., should figure prominently in the Cardinals' plans next season. All three frontcourt starters for CUA were seniors.
