Route 6 work set to begin

PennDOT has announced that traffic delays will be inevitable as work on Route 6 in Potter County gets underway early next week

The work area is between the Route 449 intersection and the borough of Galeton.

Daylight traffic control will be in place, with flaggers on duty traffic alternates through the work zone. The work will initially include setting signs and saw-cutting along the concrete roadway. Overall project work will include roadway rehabilitation, structure repair, bituminous overlay, shoulders, drainage improvements, and rails.

Contractor on the $4.8 million job is A. L. Blades and Sons Inc. PennDOT expects the project to be completed in late September,
