'No Doe Hunting'
To the editor:

After reading in the local paper that the Pa. Game Commission decided to raise the doe license allotment in Area 2G (which includes Cameron County) from 19,000 to 26,000, it indicates that they either don't have any respect for the sportsman's opinion, or they are in need of the additional money, or both.

It is time that local people send a message to the Game Commission, by all of the private landowners posting their property: "NO DOE HUNTING."

Many landowners are already posting their land, but to be effective every landowner should participate.

In my opinion, if the Game Commission sold all 26,000 licenses, they would have about 1000 hunters for every doe in the area. Let's try to save the few deer we still have.
