Hospital plans town meetings

The Leadership Team from Charles Cole Memorial Hospital is holding a series of town meetings in communities it serves in the coming weeks.

These sessions will offer residents an opportunity to learn more about the hospital's strategic plan, which includes anticipated conversion to what is known as a "Critical Access Hospital." The term acknowledges that small, rural hospitals, such as Charles Cole, are critical to meet the health care needs of the community.

Meetings will last for approximately one hour, with time for questions and answers.

Town meetings are scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 in Port Allegany at Gethsemane Lutheran Church and on Thursday, May 17 at the EmporiumWellness Center on Sizerville Road.

Upcoming meetings will be held in Smethport (May 22), Shinglehouse (May 29),Ulysses (May 31), Galeton (June 4), Eldred (June 7) and Coudersport (June 12). Meetings in Roulette and Genesee are yet to be scheduled.

All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be offered.
