Paul Gerhart Paul A. Gerhart, 79, of Coudersport, died Thursday (April 26, 2007). Born on April 23, 1928 in Sellersville, he was the son of Willard Edwin and Alice Sarah Dauerheim Gerhart. On Jan. 7, 1947 in Maryland he married E. Ruth Buehrie, who survives. Mr. Gerhart lived in the Coudersport area for more than 30 years. He owned and operated Paul's Motel and Citgo in Ladona. He was a life member of the North Penn Gun Club of Trumbauersville and a member of the Betterment and Social Club. He was a social member of the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 530, and the Raymond Richar Post 6611 VFW of Galeton. Surviving in addition to his wife are six sons: Russell D. (Barbara) Hess of East Greenville, Robert (Peggy) Gerhart of Quakertown, Albert "Butch" Gerhart of Coudersport, Michael (Margaret) Gerhart of Shinglehouse, Jeffrey (Judy) Gerhart of Coopersburg and James (Laura) Gerhart of Coudersport; six daughters, Nancy Trumbauer of East Greenville, Alice (Michael) Sames of Hereford, Pamela (Ronald) Andrus of Gaines, Melody (Dennis) Moses of Port Allegany, Deborah (Kevin) Cline and Christine (Robert) Rees, both of Roulette; 37 grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Gerhart of Quakertown and Edwin (Charlotte) Gerhart of Perkasie; five sisters, Lillian Sauer of Ft. Myers, Fla., Gladys (Ralph) Schlectic of Sellersville, Alice (Melvin) Brandis of Zephyrhills, Fla., Grace (Russell) Yowells and Edna (Fred) Yowells, both of Telford; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Samuel Gerhart, and a son-inlaw Jesse Trumbauer. Funeral services were held at Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Shatto officiating. Burial was in Sweden Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patterson Cancer Care Center or to Potter County Hospice, 1001 E.
