Armand Venture

Armand Venture, 88, of Rich Valley Road, Emporium died Friday (April 27, 2007).

He was born May 19, 1918 in Sykesville, a son of the late James and Clementine Dominic Venture.

Mr. Venture graduated from the former Sykesville High School. He also graduated from Williamsport Technical School as a machinist. He retired from Sylvania in Emporium, where he had worked for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #368.

Surviving are a son, Daren Venture; two brothers, John Venture of Sykesville, Peter Venture of Georgia; a sister, Dolly Cazzoli of Brockway; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two brothers.

A memorial service was held at the Barnett Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Simpson, officiating. Burial was in the Rich Valley Cemetery, Shippen Township.
