Computer ed classes set in Port Allegany A series of computer education classes has been scheduled in Port Allegany, with instruction for beginners and for those who already have computing skills. A flexible schedule is in place, as follows: Mornings (9:00 to noon): Monday, May 7, Word 3; Wednesday, May 9, Windows XP; Monday, May 14, Excel 1; Wednesday, May 16, Word 1; May 21, Word 2; May 23, Publisher 1; May 29, Computer First Aid; and May 30, Internet, Afternoons (1:00 to 4:00): May 7, Excel 1; May 16, Word 2; May 21, Word 3; May 29, Word 2. Evenings (6:00 to 9:00): May 7, Intro to Computers; May 14, Excel 2; May 16, Ebay; May 21, Resume Writing; May 22, FrontPage 1; May 24, FrontPage 2. All classes will take place at the PCEC Port Allegany Education Council, 8 N. Main Street. Cost per class is $38 and includes a textbook. Government employees or officials in Potter or McKean counties can qualify to take the classes at no charge, through a Municipality Technology Assistance Program grant.
