Tompkins has hot stick in Alle-Catt win Drew Tompkins exploded for six hits as defending champion Emporium came out on fire in the Alle-Catt Amateur Baseball League opener. The Cats buried long-time rival Crosby, 23-2, with an 18- hit attack that also included a three-run homer by Kevin Gledhill and three hits apiece from Rick Uber and Ralph McKimm Jr. Ryan Bresslin, who relieved starter Paul Baker in the fifth, silenced the Mudhens' bats and picked up the win. Emporium travels to Olean for a 2:00 p.m. game on Sunday. |
