L. Sandra Lyon

L. Sandra Lyon, 70, of Emporium, died Monday (May 14, 2007) at Lake West Hospital, Willoughby, Ohio.

She was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Henry G and Loretta M. Wallaston Klees.

On May 31, 1959, in Emmanual Episcopal Church, Emporium, she married Hugh R. Lyon.

Mrs. Lyon was a member of the first graduating class of Cameron County High School in 1955. She was also a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where she served for many years as treasurer of the St. Hilda's Guild. She was active in several community organizations and enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

Surviving are five sons: Frank (Jane) Lyon, of Kirtland, Ohio; Terry (Cheryl) Lyon, of Lexton, Mich.; Matthew (Janet) Lyon, Wellsville, N.Y.; Anthony Lyon, of Millertown, and Roger (Robin) Lyon, of Ripley, N.Y.; one daughter, Margaret (Daniel) Swinduk, of Manton, Mich.; eight grandchildren; one brother, Willis G. Klees of North Carolina, and one sister, Pamela R. (David) Callahan, Emporium.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A burial service was held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Father Matt Ryan, officiating. Burial was in Moore Hill Cemetery.
