Kid's Fishing Derby June 3

The 53rd annual Drum and Henry Kids Fishing Derby will be held on Sunday afternoon, June 3, at the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club pond in Sizer Run from 1:00 to 4:00.

It's open to children age 14 and younger. Each child who registers will receive a free hot dog and soft drinks.

The pond will be closed to adults through Sunday, June 17, so that anyone 14 and under can continue to fish.

Rules that apply at the derby will continue through June 17: each child will be allowed to catch up to three trout; the use of artificial lures is prohibited -- bait fishing only will be allowed; no alcohol or pets are permitted on club grounds.

Donations from the Emporium Foundation will help to support the fishing derby.
