Ginseng workshop June 9
Penn State Cooperative Extension will offer a workshop on ginseng harvesting and production on Saturday, June 9 in Coudersport.
The focus of the workshop will be on ginseng identification and biology, collection guidelines, root characteristics, marketing, state and federal management programs, history of ginseng husbandry, planting stock considerations, site evaluation and stand density needs.
This workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Potter County Education Council office at 227 N. Main Street. Cost is $25. To register, call 274-4877, 435-9490 or 642-2295.
