      Matthew and Mary Streich of Emporium are parents of a son born May 20, 2007, at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. Named Nicholas Matthew Streich, he weighed seven pounds, 7.5 ounces and joins a sister, Alexandria Streich, who is 13.

Drum & Henry Fishing Derby Sunday
      The 53rd annual Drum and Henry Kids Fishing Derby will be held on Sunday afternoon at the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club pond in Sizer Run from 1:00 to 4:00. Route 120 job begins
      Motorists on Rt. 120 in Cameron County should expect traffic delays in the village of Truman. A contractor for PennDOT is repairing the bridge over West Creek. L. C. Whitford was awarded the $1.2 million job, which includes deck repairs, latex overlays, parapet replacement and wing wall repairs.

     Emegency service providers were judged on technique and speed during exercises held as part of EMS Day at the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Assn. headquarters. The daylong event closed out a successful EMS Week with an emphasis on safety, public education and appeciation of the service providers.

Youth arts camp planned this summer

      Cameron County Community Pool will open Friday, June 8. Tickets are available at the Cameron County High School principal's office. Cost for season tickets are: family, $62; adult, $50; student, $40. Ticket prices will increase by $3.00 beginning June 8.
