Art Fest June 29-30 Cameron County Arts presents its fifth annual Art Fest in downtown Emporium over the June 29-30 weekend. More than three dozen tables have been rented for artisans and craftsmen who will be demonstrating, displaying and/or selling their crafts Saturday on South Broad Street from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There will also be a quilt show at the firehall, organized by the Cameron County Quilt Guild, and a mini-antique show at the former Tino's on Fourth and Broad Street. There will be activities for kids as well as a performance of the Community Band, directed by Dan Sensenig. Art Fest actually begins on Friday evening. The Presbyterian Church is holding an ice cream social from 4:30 to 6:30, followed by music in the church. Heather and Holly Lyon will kick off the entertainment, followed by a barbershop quartet, Backwater Four. Also on Friday night, there will be music starting at 7:30 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church. Chris Slusarick and Stephanie Conklin will perform piano solos. Bucktail Brass and Friends will follow. There is no charge for the musical performances. Donations will be accepted. |
