Summer Reading Club set to begin

Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library in Emporium register students for its Summer Reading Club June 25-30. The club is open to students from kindergarten through grade six. Parents or guardians must accompany the child for registration at the library.

This year's theme is "Get A Clue Your Library," which should appeal to young readers who enjoy solving mysteries,

Reading activity will take place July 2-28. Students will visit the library each week obtain their reading logs.

Summer Reading Club emphasizes reading skills and comprehension, rather than competion. Rules are flexible, to accommodate vacations and other summer events. Participants will be invited to a party at the end of the program.

The library will shift to its shorter hours from June 23 through Labor Day: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Anyone seeking more information is welcome to call 486-8011.
