An Environmental Educational Series is scheduled for children 4 through 13. They'll learn about the natural world through hands-on activities, stories, presentations, crafts, demonstrations and games. To register or learn more, call the park office at 486-5605. Discovery Days for ages 4-5 will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 each morning, Aug. 7-10. Students will learn about insects, arachnids and more. Environmental Discovery for ages 6-8 will be held in two sessions: 10:00 to noon July 18-20, and 10:00 to noon Aug. 15-17. The focus will be on salamanders, birds and bears. Sizerville State Park's Junior Naturalist program also returns for children ages 9-14. They'll study bird biology, birds of prey, and migrating birds. Sessions will be held from 9:30 to noon July 25-27 and during the same hours Aug. 22-24. |
