McVay, Lightner earn softball honors Coudersport junior Kelly McVay has been named to the Big 30 High School Softball All-Star Team. She joins Northern Potter's Katie Smoker, also a junior, as the only Potter or Cameron County representatives on the 18-member ceremonial team. McVay, who handled shortstop duties for the Falcons, had a .319 batting average with two home runs, five doubles and 17 runs batted in.
