United in Marriage

Potter County Snowmobile Club was the setting for the June 23 wedding of Christopher L. Heimel and Kelly Schoonover.

Galeton Mayor Donald "Don" Skutski officiated over the double-ring ceremony held outside on club grounds. The bride is the daughter of Don and Pat (VanBergen) Schoonover of Sabinsville. The groom is the son of Paul and Lugene (Lewis) Heimel and Melanie Williams, Coudersport.

The couple met while in the service of others, as emergency medical technicians. Chris is an EMT and manager with the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association. He is also a member of the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department. Kelly continues her affiliation as an EMT. She also operates a home-based day care.
