Marie House

Marie E. House, 71, of Emporium, died June 22, 2007, at Presbyterian-Univ. Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Nov. 11, 1935 in Bolivar, N.Y. a daughter of Willard and Juliet Cleveland Griswold. On Oct. 24, 1953 in St. John's Lutheran church in Emporium, she married Eugene House, who survives.

Mrs. House worked at the Cameron County Courthouse and previously was employed by Sylvania.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Valerie (Mark) Worall, Turtle Creek; Tina Peck, Erie; Judy House, Downingtown and Brenda Leithner, Ridgway; 11 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; a sister, Alice, Farmington, MN; a halfbrother, Sam, Boliver, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Neva Winston, and several halfbrothers.

A funeral service was held at the Barnett Funeral Home with Rev. R. Scott Melott, pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating.
