Cameron real estate transactions

Emergency responders say Thursday morning's truck/ bicycle collsion on Beechwood Road in Cameron County could have been tragic. As it is, bicyclist Geri Griffith, 49, is recovering from his injuries following treatment at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys. State police report that Griffith was riding in the berm of the Shippen Twp. road at about 8:00 when a box delivery truck driven by 73-year-old James Burfield drifted off the road and struck the front wheel of Griffith's bike. He and the bicycle went over an embankment. A woman accompanying Griffith on a separate bicycle swerved off the road and suffered moderate injuries. Both victims were taken to ERMC for treatment. Burfield was unhurt.
