Make-A-Wish charity motorcycle run today

Friends of Make-A-Wish in Potter and Cameron counties will team with a local motorcycle group for a Saturday, July 21, event to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This is the 11th year for this special Charity Motorcycle Run, being coordinated by the Endless Mountain Chapter of the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education.

Money that is raised helps children ages two and one-half through 17, who are suffering health problems or are handicapped, receive a "wish."

Previous runs have raised more than $33,000 for Make- A-Wish children. Registration will be open from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Sterling Run Tavern, 12 miles east of Emporium on Route 120. Cost is $10 per person.

The ride will be held on a 110-mile route through Cameron, Potter, McKean and Elk counties. Snacks will be available during and prizes will be awarded at the Sterling Run Tavern.
