Golden gala for Barkers

A double 50th anniversary celebration was held on Independence Day at Sizerville State Park to honor William and Georgia Barker and Ronald and Ann Barker.

Each couple's children planned the celebration over a period of two years. Relatives came from as far away as New Mexico, Ohio and Rhode Island.

Family of Ronald and Ann Barker of Emporium includes: Barbara (daughter) and husband Bob McGlomphy, from the Newport, R.I., area; Ronald III (son), wife Bonita and son Mitchell, of Bradford; and Joanie (daughter), husband Tom Olszowy and daughters Kyrie, Katherine, Kristina, from Fork Knox, Ky.

Family of William and Georgia Barker, Ridgway, includes: Sue Bemiller (daughter), Johnstown, Ohio, husband Doug and three children; David Barker (son), Jamestown, N.M., daughter Angela, and three children; and Jeffrey Barker (son), Ridgway, and four children.
