'Tasting in the Wilds' set this weekend The Ridgway Heritage Council and the Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce will host the second annual Tasting in the Wilds today (Saturday, July 21) from noon until 8 p.m. at the Ridgway Firemen's Grounds. Tasting in the Wilds is a beer and wine tasting festival featuring tastes from some of the region's finest wineries and craft breweries. Guests will also experience the Taste of the Arts show highlighting local artists and sponsored by the Elk County Council on the Arts. Also available will be fine food from local restaurants and live music throughout the day by local favorites, the Moore Brothers, JB Unplugged and Mike and Chet. Wine tasting demonstrations and homemade wine and beer contests will also be held. Tickets are now on sale at the Johnsonburg News Agency, Cliffe's & The Prescription Center, ECCOTA, Ridgway Welcome Center, the Winery at Wilcox and the Village Peddler. Prices are $15 before the event and $20 at the gate for admission and tastings; $5 for admission only. Guests must be 21 to sample alcoholic beverages.
