      Coudersport's Zach Hetrick is spending his summer at the epicenter of baseball -- Cooperstown, N.Y. As part of his studies at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Hetrick is serving an internship at the Cooperstown Dreams Park.

      Potter-McKean continued to roll in the Pa. District 15 Little League softball playoffs for ages 9-10 Monday night with a 10-7 win over Wellsboro. The team takes a 6-0 record into Friday night's game against the North East All- Stars. It's scheduled for 5:30 at Austin.

DeStevens dies in Cleveland
      Eugene P. DeStevens, one of the best football players ever to compete for Coudersport High School, died Thursday, July 5, in the Cleveland Clinic. He was 77. DeStevens, as a star running back at Coudersport, earned the nickname "Swivel Hips" for his elusive running style.
