Ruby Andrews

Ruby E. Andrews, 92, of Andrews Farm, died Monday (July 23, 2007) at Guy and Mary Felt Manor.

She was born Dec. 21, 1914 in Emporium, a daughter of the Late William T. and Elsie R. Lewis Brown.

On Aug. 13, 1935 in Emporium, she married Russell Andrews.

Mrs. Andrews was a 1933 graduate of Emporium High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary. She served on the Election Board of East Shippen Township for 30 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna (Ardell) Loncosky, of New York; two sons, Russell "Butch" (Jane) Andrews of Emporium and Ron (Kay Ann) Andrews of Emporium; 9 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren and a sister, Neva (Andy) Miklos, of Eldred.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were held at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with the Rev. Dwight Simpson, officiating. Burial was in the Rich Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guy and Mary Felt Manor, Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 188, Emporium PA 15834.
