Archery Rendezvous continues

An internationally known horseback archery professional will stage two more performances this weekend at Ski Denton in Potter County as the Eastern Traditional Archery Rendezvous continues.

Lukas Novotny has demonstrated his precision archery skills from the back of a speeding horse in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He'll perform Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and again at 4:00 p.m.

Novotny is also one of the world's few crafters of Asianstyle recurved composite bows. He and other dealers, bowyers, and artists are exhibiting their wares during the Rendezvous, which continues through Sunday. Archery and hunting-related seminars and demonstrations are also being held. The Professional Bowhunters Society will hold a Saturday morning kids' camp.

Each year, the Archery Rendezvous draws a large crowd to walk the eight 3-D archery courses, hone their archery skills, prepare for hunting season, and connect with other archery enthusiasts. Some archers vie for the coveted "Eagle Eye" award, presented on Saturday evening.

Admission to the Archery Rendezvous is $5.00. Additional information is available at the website, skidenton.com, or by calling 274-8059.
