Speed sign watching you in Austin

At the request of the residents of Austin Borough, PennDOT has placed a radar-controlled speed display sign along Rt. 872. The sign will remain on location for about two weeks.

It registers the speed of vehicles traveling near the intersection of First Fork Road. Those speeds are posted on the lighted section of the sign. Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit.

Austin Borough Police will be monitoring that section of Rt. 872.
