Rotary Picnic Aug. 15

Emporium Rotary Club's annual picnic will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Tickets, sold on a first-come, first-served basis, are $40, which includes a buffet dinner with the club's famous clam chowder, steamed clams, shrimp and steak, as well as beverages.

Proceeds are used for various Rotary projects, including the annual Rotary Scholaship and the donation of dictionaries to all third-graders in the Cameron County and Austin school districts. The picnic is Emporium Rotary Club's largest fundraiser of the year.
