Rx discounts in Potter, McKean Potter and McKean counties have signed on to a national program that will allow all county residents to obtain a 20- percent discount on the cost of most commonly prescribed drugs. This discount card program is sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo). It's made available due to the Potter and McKean boards of commissioners becoming affiliated with NACo. The cards can be used by all county residents, regardless of age, income or existing health coverage, and will be accepted at most pharmacies. Administered through Caremark Rx Inc., the program has no enrollment fees or forms. "Even those fortunate enough to have prescription coverage can use the card to save money on drugs that are not covered by their health plan," said Potter County Commissioner Catherine Bowers. Cards will be made available at libraries, county buildings, churches and other locations. |
